property surrounded by vineyards in the
heart of the Var epitomizes everything

delicious Provencal landscape and charming

Quintessentially French in character Les
Micocouliers has been the much loved
home of its owners for several generations.
Situated on the outskirts of Lorgues, Les
Micocouliers is an imposing and elegant
house painted in traditional soft ochre with
large white shutters. Steps lead up to a large
terrace at the front of the house with plenty
of mature trees and colorful pot plants and
beyond here is the large swimming pool
with views across the property's vineyards.
Inside, one cannot fail to be impressed by
the vast living area - a sitting area with
fireplace and beamed ceilings leads to the
wonderful dining area complete with beautiful
antique furniture next to the well-equipped
kitchen area which any keens chefs will love.
An excellent venue for family reunions or a
big gathering of friends with additional
conservatory area beyond and big French
doors to an outside eating area at the back
of the house. Here, one can sit in the shade
of the plane trees looking across yet more
vineyards whilst enjoying lunch cooked on
the built-in barbecue. There are plenty of options for eating and relaxing in the sun be
it by the pool, on the terrace at the front of the house or in the garden area outside the
dining room. Bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first and second floors and spacious but simple in style with views at the front of the pool and hills beyond or at the back across the vineyards. From Lorgues, there is plenty to explore - the spectacular Gorges du Verdon, the wine trails of the Cotes de Provence, the medieval villages of the southern half of the Provencal mountains or south to the coast and fashionable resorts such as St. Maxime, St. Raphael and Cannes. An excellent addition to our 2003 program - we are sure that clients will enjoy staying at this unsophisticated yet well-appointed property.
