Maison Quatre is a stunning labor of love.
Having recently been renovated by both an
antique dealer and interior designer, using a
combination of local materials and an
attractive mixture of old and new
furnishings, the property has been superbly
designed and is an enchanting place to stay.
Set within the village of Boulbon, which
nestles in front of the hill range known as
the Montagnette, guests at Maison Quatre
will find that they have everything they
require close at hand. The village, ,though
quiet and unspoiled, has the amenities of a
small but well stocked supermarket, and for
the days when cooking may seem like too
much of a chore, there is the Café de
Commerce bar, which serves delicious home
cooked food at lunch time. Though
positioned in the heart of the village, the
property has a south facing 5600 sq. ft.
garden with its own private swimming pool,
several terraces and a seating area under the
olive trees. During the day when the heat of
the sun becomes too much, there is also a
galleried summer living room set off the
garden giving a shaded area for eating, sitting
and general relaxation. The interior of the
main house is elegant, cool and spacious. A
beautiful 18th century stone fireplace is an
impressive focus within the large,
comfortable living / dining room, which has
been beautifully lit to enhance and
compliment the furnishings. During the
summer, the A/C units in the two main
bedrooms are a welcome addition, while
equipped with a full heating system, the
house can also be enjoyed in the cooler
months of the fall and winter. It is a
property which has an all year round appeal
both with respect to its location and high
standard of comfort which it offers. The
region is well known for its markets, fairs,
and regional festivals and with a vast host
of activities such as walking, biking and
riding on your doorstep. We feel confident
that guests will want to keep returning to this
delightful spot time and time again.
