Situated in the southern Luberon, between the villages of Rognes and Lourmarin, this imposing 18th century bastide (country house) offers a wonderful holiday base for a family or a large group of friends, convenient to both Aix-en-Provence and for touring the Luberon villages and vineyards. Guests are spoilt for choice with a number of excellent local markets within a short drive: Rognes on Wednesdays, Cadenet on Monday morning, Lourmarin on Friday morning and in Aix-en-Provence on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The nearest village, Rognes has a bakery, butcher, food shop, bank and pharmacy.

The bastide has been recently restored to a very high standard, without losing its original charm. Its thick walls, vaulted or beamed ceilings and terracotta floors have been retained, and its walls painted in soft colors. The rooms are light and spacious and tastefully furnished in soft, neutral colors. The kitchen is extremely spacious and professionally equipped.

The living room opens to a large gravel terrace, with a stone dining table, shaded by ancient plane trees, and is ideal for al fresco dining any time of the day. The grounds extend for 7.5 acres and are filled with fruit trees, chestnuts, cypresses, hedges and pots of flowering plants. The grounds are enclosed and are accessed by a security gate. There is a fenced in 20 x 52 ft. swimming pool with sloping access. The pool house is equipped with a sink, fridge and shower. There is also a tennis court.

Maid service: Obligatory maid service 4 hours a day at €15 per hour
