A beautifully restored 18th century Provencal
mas in the heart of the Luberon, La Fontaine
de Faucon provides a standard of comfort
and service which guests will appreciate.
Tucked within the rich agricultural region of
the Vaucluse, surrounded by vines, cherry
and olive trees, and located within walking
distance from the charming fortified hilltop
village of Goult, La Fontaine de Faucon
remains in its own delightfully secluded area.
Once you have arrived at the house and
entered into the courtyard, the peaceful
heart of the house, you will find it difficult to
leave. Immediately faced with a bower of
vines providing a shaded cover to the
wrought iron, mosaic dining table, a fantastic
place to spend long summer evenings
sampling the local food and wine. While we
were being shown the house, the kitchen was
alive with activity, a cooking lesson was in
full swing, with the professional chef
demonstrating with easy flair how to rustle
up a stuffed ballotine of chicken. Group
cooking lessons are available for all guests
on request. The kitchen is superbly equipped
for such events, with a central island, state of
the art stove and ample space - to inspire
even the most reluctant cooks. The majority
of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms
and are decorated in pale, calm colors with
natural , textured rugs, pale stripped floors,
exposed beams and pretty fabrics - rustic,
yet tasteful in style with a high standard of
comfort. There is a private pool area with
comfortable pool furniture, and children
will love the enormous playing area.
