In one of the most beautiful areas of the
Dordogne, Le Touron is an exceptionally
beautiful light and spacious 13th century house
set with old walled gardens of flowering
shrubs and well kept lawns with a heated
swimming pool.
Le Touron is situated in wonderful wooded
countryside between the historic towns of
Bergerac and Perigueux, offering complete
privacy, tranquility and comfort. Set in five
acres of grounds, the Tower House, together
with its charming guest annex, Le Pavilion,
have been beautifully restored and
comfortable furnished with many antiques,
colorful rugs and paintings. Both are
surrounded by well tended lawns and
flowerbeds and enjoy a private swimming
pool. The house retains all of the original 13th
century features including oak beams, candle
niches, and a magnificent fireplace. All of the
rooms are spacious, with the ground floor
rooms opening onto terraces and the garden.
Comfortable large bedrooms with beamed
ceilings enjoy modern, well equipped
bathrooms using the finest tiles from Italy.
The paved dining terrace outside the kitchen
is particularly delightful, being surrounded by
raised flower beds and shaded by fig trees.
Taken together with the Park House, this is a
wonderful venue for a reunion of family or
friends yet providing the privacy and space of
two separate properties with their own pools.
