In the very heart of Mougins old Village with views over the Mediterranean and Cannes this is a wonderful holiday home which the owners have renovated to the very highest standards.Built into the hillside with uninterrupted views and peaceful stepped gardens you could be hundreds of miles from the hustle and bustle of Cannes but in reality only 15 minutes away. You enter on the ground floor into a very large entrance hall with a Grand Piano and sweeping staircase. Situated on this floor is the very elegant and comfortable lounge with doors opening onto a balcony, the dining area and a fully fitted kitchen and guest cloakroom. On the first floor there is a master suite with its own sitting room with double aspect balcony, dressing area and bathroom with bath and separate walk in shower. There is a further double bedroom with en suite bathroom also on this floor.
From the ground floor you take the stairs to the lower ground floor which has a family room with TV and video and doors to and outside dining terrace which is sheltered by a huge parasol. This is an ideal area to dine or have drinks whilst enjoying the views. Along a corridor you reach two more charming double bedrooms, both with ensuite shower rooms, and then a door to the gardens.
There are steep steps to the gardens where you will find the entrance to the 5th double bedroom with en suite shower room. The gardens are mature with lots of cypress and lemon trees with a lower terrace that has a large vegetable patch from which you can help yourselves to delicious tomatoes, basil and fresh salad. The pool is heated in the cooler months and has sun terraces with wooden steamer chairs.. There is a lawned area with a delightful loggia with shady seating,decorated with antique garden utensils. There are several additional seating areas set among the giant cypress together with a fully fitted summer kitchen with inside and outside dining area and a BBQ. This is a fabulous house only a few minutes to walk to the local restaurants and shops and being within easy reach of Cannes is the ideal spot from which to enjoy the Cote d’Azur.
Due to the steep steps to the pool and gardens we would not recommend this house for small children or the infirm.
Price includes linen,services and maid service twice a week.
